| Air-X |
The AIR-X turbine is easily the world's best selling small wind
turbine. In production since 2001, its quiet operation, high
efficiency, and smart-thinking charge controller have proven to be
the reason for its success.
Similar to the Air Breeze, the Air-X is primarily used for battery
charging applications in remote locations, boats, RVs,
communication towers, water pumping, offshore platforms, and
PV systems.
Its automatic controller allows for peak-power tracking of the wind
by optimizing the alternator's output on all points of the cubic
curve. This effectively and efficiently delivers the most available
energy to the battery bank. It also uses the controller to control its
blade rotation speed, which also eliminates the buzzing noise
commonly found with most small wind turbines.
With the recent small wind provision included in the Emergency
Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (the Bailout) there are credits
available to both residential and commercial owners of wind
turbines. It is effective until December 31, 2016. Residential users
will receive a credit of the lesser of $4000 or $1000 per kW of
capacity and commercial users will get an uncapped 30% credit.

market continues to grow!
